The DTC platform Appcharge completed $58 million in financing to boost the “de-storage” revolution.

Appcharge, the DTC platform, announced the completion of the $58 million round of B financing, which was led by IVP, with Playrix and current investors Creandum, Play Ventures, Glolot Capital Partners, Smilegate Investment, etc. This financing brought total corporate financing to $89 million, which will be used to expand the Platform ‘ s product line to meet global industry needs and lead the next era of interaction among mobile game users.

Appcharge is the fastest-growing mobile game payment platform that supports more than one third of the best-selling mobile game shops. This financing is at a time when Appcharge is growing at a time when the volume of transactions processed annually has exceeded $500 million, 14 times the size of the year and only nine months from Round A. The platform now provides shop services for over 100 games, and co-issuers report a significant increase in user retention rates, with an average profit increase of 35 per cent.

“Court decisions and policy changes have opened the door to the DTC model”, the co-founder of Appcharge and CEO Maor Samson said, “The issuers are moving towards this more fundamental business model. We are at the forefront of this change and are building a new era that goes beyond app stores and even web shops, providing better economic models for consumer applications and more choices for users.”

The IVP partner, Karthik Ramakrishnan, commented: “Appcharge is one of the fastest-growing companies we have ever seen in the field of play infrastructure, and they are just getting started. For nearly two decades, mobile game distributors have had no choice but to be forced to hand over large trading commissions to distribution platforms. This time is finally over — Appcharge is building the next future.”

Before and after the financing, Appcharge launched the iOS payment of two major products, SDK and AppDirect, which together with its popular Payment Links, constitute a seamless, compliant and scalable DTC solution matrix that helps distributors to get out of platform commission and open up more economical user interactions.

Appcharge is a global leading direct-selling platform for mobile games built by game developers. Appcharge helped game distributors sell their products directly to players, increasing their profits by 35 per cent and significantly increasing their relationships and loyalty. As an integrated platform, Appcharge provides all the services required by game distributors for direct sales, including full branding of network stores, game-based concessions, global payment settlements, mobile applications to pay for SDK, etc.
