The first international representative office in Belgium was established by Shun Fung Aviation, which is expected to exceed 50,000 tons in 2025

The official establishment of the first international presence of Sunfung Air in Belgium marked an important milestone in the company ‘ s configuration on the European market. Since April 2020, when Belgium’s first route, Changsha = Liège, has been active in servicing international logistics needs, including the movement of high-value goods such as epidemiological materials, cross-border electrical products, electronic equipment, flowers and car parts.

The office of the Belgian representative of Sunfung Aviation was established to deepen the company ‘ s business outreach in Europe and to enhance localization of services. Liège Airport serves as an important European freight hub, with efficient customs clearance processes and geographical advantages, and serves as a strategic feeder for successful aviation in Europe. The Office will be responsible for coordinating route operations, customer relationship management and market development and will further strengthen cooperation with local logistics partners.

Since the opening of the Long Sal = Liège route in 2020, Sunfeng Air has gradually built up a network of Belgian routes covering several cities in China, including Nisuke, Wuhan, Ozhou, Qingdao, Yantao and Hong Kong. From 2020 to 2024, the volume of cargo transported in Belgium by Sunfung Aviation grew steadily, totalling more than 40,000 tons, with an estimated 40,000 tons per year in 2024. The company plans to increase its capacity further by 2025, with the volume of freight expected to exceed 50,000 tons, an increase of about 25 per cent over the same period.

The European expansion of the pro-bono airline is in line with the growth trend in the global air freight market. According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), global air freight continued to grow in 2024, with demand for air routes from Asia to Europe particularly strong.

With an annual cargo volume of nearly 1.2 million tons in 2024, Sun Fong Aviation has for the first time crossed a million-ton turn-off and its fleet has reached 89 cargo aircraft. The establishment of the Belgian Representation has further strengthened its competitiveness in international markets, particularly in the areas of cross-border electric operators and high-end manufacturing logistics.
